Successor Energy e-bicycles

Our liability insurance requires customers purchasing partially assembled bicycles and motor kits to agree to have a bike shop do the final out-of-carton assembly (or kit installation)--or at least have the shop conduct a wheel to wheel safety inspection before the cycle is ridden.

Please note these bikes have been drastically reduced in price because they're presently not in production. Electroportal, LLC expects to manufacture a similar line of bikes based on the CHARGER bike's Impulse System (or another similar system that's somewhat backwardly compatible to keep the original bikes operating for years to come).

The Charger bikes are definitely our best value in power assisted bike products since they're half the orignial cost--now no more expensive than non-powered bikes with similar quality cro-moly frame, double-wall rims with Nylon-Kevlar tires, 7 speed internal gear hubs and other fine Shimano components. Customers with well over 10K miles are proof the bikes are not only a good design, but hold up well.

BikeSys bike-48V

This bicycle uses the same 26" wheel, hub-motor, and components as the BikeSys kit (see e-conversion kits). But the bike frame is designed so the power-pack is easier to remove. The weight distribution is excellent! For 36Volt or smaller wheel options, please e-mail or call in your order. For customers in hilly areas, we now offer a 1000 Watt version for $849. But higher power means more battery drain and less range. Unless you need the extra power, stick with the standard 200 Watt 48 V system.

Charger "Standard"bike

Made in the USA, this bike gets 18 to 40 miles per charge depending on terrain and level of electric use. An assist-only bike (no pedal, no go), the Nexus 7-speed internal hub transmission, coupled with 4 matching torque settings (up to 4 times your pedal force), makes this a most advanced design with maximum range ability. The power pack (with 2, 12V 12Ah lead acid batteries and charging unit) is removable for remote charging...or if you want to use the Charger as a regular bike. Note: Unless you call or e-mail your order indicating blue, green, or black color...we will select the color for you!

Charger "LX" bike

Basically the same as the "Standard" version (see above), with "mountain style" handle bars...but it has Rock-Shox front suspension for a smoother ride on rough roads! All models come in dark green, blue, and black. (specify color by e-mail or phone, or order will be filled with a random color) All models have Shimano sealed gear hub with twist shift control for accuracy.

Charger "Comfort" bike

Basically the same as the "Standard" model (see above), but it has swept up "cruiser style" handle bars and a soft seat with springs for added comfort. This model is popular among the "Aging Baby Boomers" who would rather sit more upright than you can with road or mountain bike handlebars. Price a similar bike without the electrics and you will see the value we now offer. These come in Black, Green, and Blue. Specify a color preference or we will chose for you!
